My Students
My students are inquisitive, enthusiastic young learners. They benefit from hands-on learning and play experiences. English is a second language for many of students as well many of my students have special needs.
Young children learn best through the concept of play.
These experiences will help build strong foundation skills. Students will be working independently as well as collaboratively.
The materials will help students realize the connection between letters and sounds of the Alphabet through engaging fun, hands on activities.
My Project
By incorporating the Alphabet Teaching Tubs into our classroom we will be able to learn letters and sounds of the alphabet with engaging fun, hands on activities. For students which have English as a second language and students with special needs it is difficult to learn and retain vocabulary, so repeated exposure to items in the tub will help us to reinforce concepts repeatedly.
The multi-sensory nature of the tubs will allow my students to make the connections necessary to learn to read.
The hands on activities will give fun, memorable experience and most of all assess for all students.
