Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The materials I'm requesting already have "homes", let me explain. My class is a wild mix of first-third grade and is a part of special education. We teach general education material but at a slower pace so our students have time to truly process and understand the material being taught. Although my class mainly consists of third graders, all of my students are not in their grade level of learning.
We have first graders who are barely comprehending prek-kinder learning, second graders who are still learning how to write their names, and third graders who are testing anywhere between kinder-second grade comprehension.
All of my students are unique in their own way. Some have physical obstacles to overcome, and others have emotional ones. But all of my kids will benefit greatly from the books requested. The books will be used to make classroom packets for our group sessions, homework, and placement assessment. My students already have shown advancement in reading, writing, and math and this project will only help enrich their education and individual goals. Thank you!
