My Students
We are in a neighborhood with a shrinking student population. About half of the students in my classroom are on a permit, meaning that they choose to attend our school.
The students in my classroom work hard to be cooperative learners.
I have a diverse classroom with students representing many different backgrounds. I have a student who moved from Mexico recently and speaks very little English. The other EL students that I have, help him as well as the other students who want him to be successful.
I try to find ways to help all of my students engage in their own learning and on a level which will be most beneficial to them. It can be through group work, drama, tracking their own progress and movement or computer-based learning activities. This can be a challenge but it is so rewarding when it works.
My Project
I would love to use "chair bands for fidgety feet" for those students who have trouble sitting still and focusing in class. I have been impressed with some of the comments and reviews that I have read about this product and I am hoping that it will work for some of my students too.
I want all of my students to feel successful.
I want them to be able to be the best learners that they can when they are in my classroom.
I am also hoping to use Kindles for apps for my ESL students and for classroom sphero's.
