Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I hope to build interactive fraction and decimals lessons for my students with the materials provided. The manipulatives will help close the mathematical gaps for my learners who are coming from various language backgrounds as well as students with individual education plans. This will make abstract concepts tangible for my students.
Having diverse seating, will be an added benefit in my classroom for my students who are on individual educational plans.
Each of the seating options reflect a student I’ve seen struggle in the past siting in a standard chair. Now that I’m looping with my kids, I want to make the classroom truly reflect their needs.
