It's Science Fair Time...but I Don't Have a Board for Mine!

My students need 100 presentation boards for their science fair projects.

My Students

Do you remember the pride you felt when you presented your science fair project in middle school? My scholars are working hard to design and conduct experiments, collect data and results, and draw conclusions. Now, all they need are boards on which to display them.

My science scholars are 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students who are enrolled in a brand new math, engineering, technology, and science (METS) magnet program at an under-funded urban school in Missouri.

Ninety-eight percent of students enrolled receive free or reduced lunches. Given the hard economic times our nation is experiencing many of my students' parents simply cannot afford to purchase these boards. As a result, my students will lack the supplies necessary for full completion of their project.

My Project

My students are at a very inquisitive age that is perfect for scientific inquiry. They are in the process of designing their science experiments for their end-of-year final project requirement. For many of my students, this is their first time conducting a genuine science experiment, and they are absolutely excited! With your help, we can provide them with one of the tools necessary for them to successfully and professionally present their results.

Your donation to this project will make a difference in my science scholars' lives by engaging them in the content, exciting their curiosity about doing science, and bringing the wonders of science into our classroom.
