My Students
Have you ever tried to learn chemistry without doing it? Without seeing it? That's what my students have been doing for the past few years, and as a new teacher, I am going to change that, with your help. I am going to increase their standardized test scores by making chemistry come alive.
My students are from a violence ridden, low income community in Connecticut.
Although they come from this community, they are inspiring to me because they talk about improving their community through education. As their teacher, it is my job to give them the best education and materials available. These children need to be inspired, they need to be believed in. With your donation to our classroom, you can make that happen
My Project
These items will help chemistry come alive for my students. They will be able to physically see and experience what it is like to "do" science. They will be held responsible for keeping the supplies neat and organized which will increase their investment in not only their own education but in their school and in science.
Our country is struggling to keep up in the math and sciences; other countries are passing us by the day.
In order to give our students a chance in this world, they need to have an early exposure to science, and it needs to be meaningful. Your donation can help them become prepared for high school and beyond.
