My Students
Help my students be proficient readers by the end of third grade! By using this technology, my students will be able to work independently and in small groups to reinforce skills and challenge themselves as readers. I will be able to work with my students independently to better meet their needs.
My students are incredible third graders who have a love for learning!
They are 21st century learners who love to be engaged at all times. They do their best work when they are challenged, respected and given independence. My school is in a suburban area with a very diverse student body. This is one of the things that makes us so special. I love my kids and want only the best for them!!
My Project
I can't wait for my students to get their hands on this technology! Not only will my students be able to use these materials to support their literacy growth but they will also get to hone in on their technology skills as well! Talk about a win-win situation!! We will be able to use the iPods in our listening centers to help build fluency and comprehension. My students will also be able to use them to create stories, record themselves, practice spelling words, develop vocabulary, etc!! The benefits of this project will trickle into every aspect of our day- as I know we will use the iPods for math differentiation and during science and social studies. Please give my students the chance to be proficient readers by 2012!!!! Thank you so much!!
This project is going to impact my students everyday in many different areas, especially preparing them to be 21st Century Learners!
