My Students

Have you ever begun the school year & received a supply list that was longer than your pockets were deep? My students have. A majority of my students face financial problems everyday, and as much as they would like to be prepared for a successful future, its the little things that get in their way.

My students are exceptionally bright!!!

This project will benefit the upcoming group of sophomores at my school. At the end of this school year, they completed their end of course testing with a 90% passing rate. We are extremely excited to continue this excellent progress in the upcoming year. Through all of their successes last year, they still endured many hardships. Many students didn't have the means to purchase all of their school supplies (and the teachers stepped in to make sure they had what they needed). They didn't have the means to go on field trips (and the school stepped in to pay the difference). Hardships like these are can easily be eliminated.

My Project

In order to eliminate or minimize these hardships, the teachers at our school are coming together to figure out means of creating as memorable a year as possible. We intend on pulling together as many resources for this class as possible and furthering their desire to discover and explore the world around them without any inhibitions about what they will or will not be able to afford.

If we are able to have these school supplies before the students come to school on the first day, the only concern they will have after that will revolve around getting the best grades possible to ensure their success in their future.

The compasses, composition books, and markers are just a little contribution but it will have a huge impact on my students. This project will surely jump start the school year in a positive direction.
