My students need dissecting pans that will allow us to do dissection today and in the future, and your gift of the worms to dissect will be a life long memory.

My Students
Students need hands on experiences. This is the first I hope in a series of dissections I can offer to my students. With the limited funds consumable supplies like chemical reagents and preserved species are simply not in the school budget anymore. You can makes these valuable lessons a reality.
My students come from a small logging community in hills of Oregon.
With the lose of much of the logging and milling industry the town has become economically depressed and needs a help with educational investment to move forward, and to develop into a new and different community.
My Project
I teach with a philosophy of project based learning. I want my students not to remember piles of terms and definitions, but to have visceral experiences that they remember for years to come. I think dissections are one of those amazing learning moments that are fun, interesting, and a lasting memory that students should not be denied. With you help this generation of student, even during these difficult times will have great learning experiences.
Every year on the first day of school I share with students images, videos, and stories of the previous years I have taught and the things my students have made and done in the past.
Every year my life science students are so excited about doing dissections, and every year I have had to do less and less because of budget cut backs. This year the total budget for my 150 students was $200.00. I can not offer any of these experiences without your help.
