My students need a wireless classroom listening center to use during our guided reading groups.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Avila's classroom raised $469

My Students
Help my readers improve! A classroom listening center would give them the opportunity to hear stories read with expression and fluency as they grow into better readers themselves.
The majority of my second grade students are just beginning to get excited about reading.
Although some of them struggle with fluency, others are wonderful readers but struggle with comprehension. Our school is working hard to meet state goals and standards, and reading is our main focus area. This is a great way to ignite a passion for reading.
My Project
A wireless, classroom reading center would be a wonderful addition to the language arts center rotation in my classroom. It would allow the reading groups exposure to a double dose of hearing fluent reading. It would also allow better differentiation among the reading groups as they work to improve their reading skills.
This donation would help not only my reading groups but would be great for reading across the curriculum.
The students would be able to follow grade level science, math, and social studies reading material in small groups when extra assistance is needed in these areas.
