1990 HP Printer?? Yikes!!

My students need a laser printer to print out research projects and call numbers for needed research projects.

My Students

My students get so excited when it comes time to print out final projects of research in the library. They've worked hard, they've edited, they've finalized, and then wham, there's a printer jam! Our 1990 LaserJet has done it's duty, fulfilled it's time and it's time for a new one!

Our students come from a middle class neighborhood in Virgina.

We currently, along with many other schools, fall into the gap of needing economic assistance but not qualifying for Title I funding. I see the needs of kids not being met simply because our funding is limited, and budgets continue to be cut each and every year. We therefore have begun to do without the necessities of modern education, such as replacing old printers, funding for ink cartridges, supplies and paper. I'm hoping that together we can fund these items for the media center so children can complete their projects without frustration.

My Project

My students love technology! They work hard and rush over to see their finished project as it flies out of the printer, only to see a crumpled mess that has been crinkled and spit out through yet another paper jam! Research projects will be proudly displayed on beautiful printouts with the help of this new laser printer!
