My Students
Help every student in the build become excellent musicians. Playing the piano is a skill many wish 2 could have learned when they where younger; my students have that opportunity but need individual keyboards to use.
My students are mix population of all kind of diversity and ethnic groups, ranging from pre-K to 8th grade.
Most of the students at our school have interest in music and love to sing and play the piano. The school is a top notch public school. We have piano recital every quarter in which the students love to showcase their hard work and practice on the piano.
My Project
At our school every student has the opportunity to get forty-five minutes of piano instructions. In piano class we put on piano recitals, learn two handed piano playing and learn how to read music. The four extra keyboard will allow for larger class to have everyone get individual practice on the piano without sharing with their peers. We will have an opportunity for more students to perform during school events if we have more keyboards to place at different locations. So help us help the students gain such a lifelong skill of learning and playing the piano.
The students will be able to learn music through the piano by practicing and building a larger piano music repertoire on their own keyboard.
At this time we don't have enough pianos for everyone to have individual practice time.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
