This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Imagine what it is like to look at a book and not be able to read a single word, and then not be next to someone who can help.
My students all have special needs and need extra help in reading to decode even the simplest word.
These children are in first grade and are eager to learn. Right now our room has an old computer table where no one can put their legs under the table on the one side.
My Project
When we get this kidney table, all the children will be able to sit as a group at the same time. It will provide a comfortable space for us to work on learning new reading skills. The space in the middle will allow me to reach every student from a central location to provide the most individualized support.
This table is vital to the atmosphere in the group.
Right now we don't have the money to buy this table. By donating towards this project, you will help improve the reading skills of my wonderful, enthusiastic students.
