My Students
If you need help, ask. If there is a problem, look for a solution. These are two of the mantras my students are taught and see modeled on a daily basis at our school. My goal is to be able to provide my students with an example of how this works through having this project funded.
My students work harder than any other students in Chicago.
They attend school for 9 hours each day and one Saturday a month. They are committed to getting to and through college and, as teachers, we are dedicated to ensuring this becomes a reality for them. Many of my students are more than two grade levels behind in reading and require significant motivation to become invested in the importance of reading.
My Project
This projector will allow my student to have access to many resources on the Internet, such as college websites, reading support sites, and power point presentations that will engage them. This will allow students who are both visual and auditory learners to have higher engagement in each and every lesson. Daily lessons will come alive to students through power point presentations.
This project will allow each and every lesson to become real for students and help them to engage.
They will have the opportunity to access information, as a class, that is only accessible through the Internet. For many students who do not have access to the Internet at home, this projector will allow them to have access in a safe way on a daily basis. Additionally, in order to be competitive in the world, they need to be familiar with Power Point, which this projector will allow.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
