Plastic chairs crack! Cracked chairs pinch and tear pants! Please help us save our clothing by getting new chairs.
I teach 5 year-old Kindergarten in rural South Carolina.
My students are bright and inquisitive. We are a Title One school with 93% of Kindergarten students receiving free/reduced lunch. Our school was featured on South Carolina's ETV's "Corridor of Shame." All of our funds have been frozen.
My Project
Over half of my classroom chairs are cheap plastic. They are brittle and cracking. This makes it uncomfortable, and even dangerous, for my students. I was fortunate to receive some super nice chairs that were ordered by mistake about twelve years ago. They have help up beautifully. Now, it is time to replace the "other" chairs in my classroom, but there are no funds available. I would like to have matching chairs for the rest of my students.
My students spend about fifty percent of their school day sitting in chairs.
They need strong, durable, comfortable chairs to sit in while they are at their desks and tables. Please consider donating to this project.
