I teach 100 amazing 7th and 8th grade low-income students. They have shown a great interest this year in Social Studies. These students work hard everyday to reach our goals of being scholars, leaders, and active citizens.
While my students come to school everyday to work hard, we confront many challenges on a daily basis. The biggest challenge for our classroom is the lack of supplies we have. The school does not contribute any classroom supplies to teachers. This leaves us without paper and other basic materials we depend on for our lessons.
With the help of wonderful donors like you, my students can enjoy Social Studies, and I can teach to the best of my ability without having to worry about obtaining supplies. This project will give 100 students and 1 teacher all the supplies they need for the rest of the 2009-2010 school year.
