My students need a printer, ruled paper, chart paper, and markers.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. R.'s classroom raised $812
This project is fully funded
Help my students get classroom essentials that we desperately need. I am a 10th grade literacy teacher in a high poverty school. This year, I am working with 150 phenomenal students in an inclusion setting. 90% of my students are more than two grades below grade level.
Our big goal is to raise our reading and writing levels 2.5 years by June. We are already making great strides toward that goal but we have hit a minor speed bump that you can help us with.
Our class is reading and writing intensive-every week, my students write one essay, one journal reflection, and one mini research paper in order to tackle remediation and to stay on target with the current curriculum. Unfortunately, we are out of the supplies allotted for our class this year. Our used printer that I brought from home officially burned out for good. We also are out of ruled and chart paper that we write our final drafts on and I have been supplying it out of pocket for the last month. Without these resources, my students are under constraints that impede our ability to keep within our motto of the college prep classroom!
If you donate to our project, you will ensure that my students can continue to achieve and work at high academic levels. You can make a difference for 150 amazingly talented students who are dedicated to being the first in their families to attend college.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
