I am an elementary librarian in a 4th, 5th, and 6th building. My district is a moderately poor district that does not have the means to keep up with the every growing technology standards that are a necessity for our students in today's educational system.

My students lack the resources to effectively learn how to use Web 2.0 tools effectively and safely. Integrating technology into the curriculum is both crucial and necessary for students so that they become better informed and prepared in this digital world.

I plan to use the IPODs a number of opportunities: students can record and listen to their own podcasts, students can write, create, and record their research projects using Web 2.0 resources, and students can listen to speeches, debates, etc. that are relevant to their curriculum.

With your support, you will help my students safely learn how to use Web 2.o tools, you will enhance lessons through the integration of technology, and help support lessons through podcasts and presentations.
