My students need a large and clear USA World Map with both physical and political features.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. H.'s classroom raised $317
This project is fully funded
A student once asked me if Texas was a bigger country than London! As a US History and Government teacher in a high-need urban high school, I have heard almost everything!
Geography is a subject that is scarcely addressed and therefore is one that a majority of students struggle with. Understanding the differences between cities, states, countries and continents are basic yet crucial skills that play an important role in understanding history and Social Studies.
With a USA World Map that has both physical and political features I would be able to show students daily the locations (whether it be a state in the US or another country) that they are learning about and foster their understanding of how geography is directly connected to history.
With your help my students will be able to have a better understanding not only of the mere facts of history, but the ability to understand the physical and political connections between the various states and countries they learn about. Moreover, you will help to improve their overall geography skills.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
