Help our kids see their futures by watching their lessons on TV! We are a high-need rural community in Southern Oklahoma, and we need to give our students access to the kind of technology that is integral to their future success.
There are wonderful learning tools on the Internet and on the computer that our students are unable to access in the classroom because they cannot see them. We want our kids to be able to explore Internet sites, watch PowerPoint's, experience online labs and information tours, and participate in a world of information all while sitting at their desks in the classroom. Imagine how learning will come alive when students not only get to see material produced by others but also get to create PowerPoint's and movies on their own and then present them to the class!
We need an LCD flat screen television along with a mobile television cart that we will connect to a laptop computer so that information can be projected onto a monitor for the whole class to see. This equipment will be housed in the library so that it will be available for any classroom teacher to use.
Don't leave these kids out! Please help us make learning more interactive for them. Remember, they won't just be passively taking in information. They will be creating knowledge and using this equipment to project it for their peers to see.
