Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My school is specified as HIGHLY POVERTY and my 7th and 8th graders need something real when I discuss lessons, most especially in Biology.
My students love science so much and last year we came up with producing their own mini aquarium, but their projects never lasted because they only used discarded materials like empty plastic bottles and other stuff.
Life science involves ecosystem and students will understand it more if they see an actual sample which is an aquarium. Aquarium includes both living and non-living things and they will easily understand the relationship and significance between the two by having a real aquarium.
Your help will inspire my students to study more and appreciate the beauty of science by exploring their minds and seeing real things.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
