My Students
The mission at my school district is to provide ALL students with EXEMPLARY college preparatory education so that they can succeed in college, career, and life. We do this through academic success, college and career readiness, and by focusing on a positive and productive life.
Over 77% of our students' first language is something other than English, over 60% of our students receive ELL services, and over 50% of students receive free/reduced lunch.
In my classroom, we strive to have a growth mindset where we learn about each other's multicultural backgrounds, and our likes and interests. We work on encouraging one another instead of put downs. We are also focussing on this school year on STEM and how to be responsible for our own learning.
