My students are special education students who are in the math inclusion class. Our school is presently working to get off the State Improvement List.
My students are below level. They have been placed in a regular education class and are working on the same seventh grade curriculum with modifications.
I would like to have a laptop computer for these students. By having a laptop I would be able to create power point presentations which are more engaging for students. It would enhance their learning process and allow them to engage in hands on learning. It not only helps them with their visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning. These power point presentations can be uploaded to my class website which would benefit the students who are having difficulty with their homework or if they were absent to see the lesson that they missed.
I thank you so much for your consideration in my request. If you contribute to this proposal, you will be making math come alive for not only my special education students, but the regular education students as well. These presentations would make the learning environment more diversified for all students. This will enable my students and all other students in the classroom to engage in cutting edge technology which will then enhance and improve their student achievement. Their availability to this technology will prepare them for going on in the world.
