FULLY FUNDED! Ms. P.'s classroom raised $442
This project is fully funded
I am a 6th grade Science teacher. I am part of a three teacher team. If asked, most of our students would say that Science is their favorite subject. I think this is because our curriculum is strictly lab based and hands on with no text book. Although I love this inquiry based approach, my students still need to read about current events in Science. The only reading resources I have are a few class sets of Science World magazine by Scholastic. My students REALLY enjoy these magazines. The only problem is that the most recent class set I have is from the year 2003. Therefore, Their "current events" reading time is not so current.
The website below allows you to read an example of Science World magazine. As you will see, it is very entertaining, and very informative. I will need a class set. www.scholastic.com has more information on ordering class sets.
In conclusion, this subscription is key to keeping my students interested in Science and making them life long Scientific thinkers.
