Incorporating Technology to Make Learning Fun!!!

My students need to interact with technology in the classroom. Classroom Jeopardy is an awesome way to motivate students and make learning fun.

Technology is ever-growing in today's society. It is important we expose our youth to as much technology as possible during their school years. I teach sixth grade science in a low-socioeconomic area. The population in our area is growing rapidly.

I recently read an article that said, "technology is not part of life for today's youth, it is a way of life". With that being said, it is our job as educators to open the door to various types of technology in the classroom in order to prepare our students for life in a technology filled world. It is especially important to use technology in the classroom because some of our students are not exposed to technology at home.

Classroom Jeopardy is a great motivator for many students. This technology device will not only benefit my students academically but socially as well. I have conducted my own research on the benefits of technology in the classroom as well as cooperative learning and both are great ways to make learning more meaningful. Classroom Jeopardy is one way that I can incorporate cooperative learning, technology and competition into my practice. I am without-a-doubt convinced that this technology will change the way my students look at reviewing and studying.

With your help, over one hundred students will get the chance to work with a technological device that will make learning meaningful. These types of activities empower our students to become more respectful, caring and knowledgable. I am positive that technology will forever evolve and expand. Let's get our student's hands on technology in the classroom today to ensure that all students have an equal opportunity when it is their time to become productive members of our society.
