My students need a game/activity center with 8 games that reinforce skills learned in a career/personal finance class.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. B.'s classroom raised $457
This project is fully funded
I teach at a high-poverty middle school in a town where many parents have been or will be facing job loss. I want the students to understand how to make decisions with money that will help them secure their financial future.
Our state and district are under severe budget restraints preventing the purchase of any new materials. I just began teaching the Career/Personal Finance content and do not have materials to help reinforce the concepts I teach.
I have the space in my room to provide a Career/Personal Finance game center. By allowing students to break into small groups to play content appropriate simulation games, concepts previously taught can be explored and put into "real-life" scenarios.
I have a passion for this critical area of my students' lives. So many of our young people make bad choices with money very early in their working years that create tremendous problems for years to come. I hope to prevent some of that hardship from occurring.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
