We need your help for our School House to Rock! At the middle school this year the 8th graders will be producing our first ever musical, School House Rocks, Live! Jr. This is extremely exciting for our program, but our House won't rock without your help!
Currently we are trying to buy four wireless microphones so our students can be heard as they belt out such memorable hits as "I'm Just a Bill," "Conjunction Junction," and "Interjections!"
Our building was built in the 1920's and while we are up to date in many ways our auditorium is still in need.
The performers will have the thrill of being heard in our performance space, several students will have the opportunity to learn about the technical side of Theater Arts. These students will be in charge of the sound equipment and will learn how to control it.
Please help us to rock the school house!
This is a project that the students have already put in a considerable amount of time into. They have been rehearsing each day and they are even giving up two of their Saturday's to rehearse at the school.
Through this project the students will learn about performance, music, acting, technical theater and how to engage your audience. These are critical skills for 8th graders to take with them as they continue on their educational journey.
YOU will be responsible for making our school house rock! YOU will help students for many years to come to ROCK as our school and programs grow! These microphones will not only benefit the Theater Arts program, but EVERY program within our school!
