Pete And Repeat

My students need 2500 sheet protectors to cover the poems and stories that they read and re-read in order to become fluent readers.

Pete and Repeat were in a boat. Pete fell out and who was left? (Repeat) Children in first and second grade love to repeat everything.

Repeated readings of favorite poems or stories strengthen fluency skills and build confidence. Everything gets better with a little practice. The more we read, the better it sounds and the more we understand what is being said.

In order to protect our individual collections of poems from the quick moving fingers of small children, sheet protectors are needed to cover the pages to extend their life and maintain their freshness.

Your help will ensure that my students will remain enthusiastic about reading and re-reading interesting text in order to improve their fluency and enhance their comprehension skills.
