Romeo, Romeo Wherefore Art Thou? How 'Bout a Graphic Novel?
My students need 20 copies of the No Fear Shakespeare Graphic Novel edition of Romeo and Juliet.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. M.'s classroom raised $266
This project is fully funded
Old school Shakespeare? How about Romeo and Juliet graphic novel style? Inner city middle school kids engaging in Shakespeare via graphic novels. They will be easier to read for struggling readers and motivating in comic book format.
We have been faced with severe budget cuts city wide. We do not even have enough money to purchase books and supplies for our students. Most of our students do not have extra money to buy books. These high interest, motivating books will engage middle schoolers and expose them to Shakespeare.
Students will read and be exposed to Shakespeare in a very motivating way. They will be motivated to achieve high scores and grades.
Your help will ensure that my inner city students get exposed to Shakespeare and become motivated readers, writers and thinkers. These books will inspire them to read the original Shakespeare and be motivated to do so.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
