My students need digital art tablets so that my upper level students can expand on their digital media experience and learning experience. Many of my students are very artistically talented and the tablet will allow them to directly relate their artistic talents on to the digital screen. They will be able to draw and paint directly into their design and art software, this will not only give them a tool in which to create incredibly projects but will more importantly expand their horizons to what is possible in digital arts and also help them catch the attention of college art programs and also pursue promising careers in the digital arts.

I teach grades 9 - 12, the school is located in the heart of uptown New Orleans and our student body is comprised of students that have requested to be taken out of their respective high schools and placed in ours, either because they felt they could not survive in their respective high school or because they have taken serious initiative to further their lives by getting a good education and taking a shot at college.
Many of our students come from families where they would be the first to attend college or even possibly the first to finish high school. The students that attend our school have taken initiative to focus on academics, for going a large high school and also the possibility of playing high school sports.
Our technology department has sparked a real interest in our student body. For many of the students it is expanding their possibilities and giving them again another opportunity to find their academic identity and possible life careers. The drawing tablets are just one more resource for our students to become more proficient in the design and digital art standards, it is an item that is a standard tool for college studios and digital labs.
