My students need 4 digital voice recorders to assist them in writing assignments.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. A.'s classroom raised $253
This project is fully funded
I teach a great group of learning support students in eighth grade in a high-needs urban public school. I am lucky to teach this class, because they are a dynamic bunch of students who have a lot to teach. Since they all receive learning support, I have the opportunity to teach in a variety of creative ways.
Sometimes it is very hard for a special needs student to write. Being able to verbalize and then play back their thoughts will give a student the motivation he or she needs in order to find success in writing.
I am asking for digital voice recorders to assist my students in the writing process. When a student is able to "dump" all of their ideas verbally/quickly, they will have a record of all of their ideas, and then they will be able to go back to their ideas to use in a writing assignments. Many special ed students are auditory learners, and giving them this would be a gift.
If our classroom receives these voice recorders, my students will achieve success in writing; some of them for the first time in their lives.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
