I teach first grade in a high need school with a high English as a Second Language population.
Several of the students in my class struggle with several math basics. I want to continue to provide them with multiple, and meaningful opportunities to practice these skills. We have a wonderful math program, but sometimes to keep pace, I don't get a good opportunity to teach those skills.
I am wanting several resources that will give my students opportunities to work on a variety of skills. I will show my students how to use the resources and then they will be able to independently concentrate on the areas of math that they struggle in. I always teach them everything I can, but I don't have all the resources I wish I had. The district provides me with a lot of wonderful things, but I want to give them even more opportunities.
You will make it possible for my students to make the most out of their classroom time. Please help give them all the chances that they work so hard on and deserve.
