Intriguing, involving, and inspiring my students to be lifelong learners. I’m a 4th grade teacher at a Title I school who is committed to setting high expectations for my students and dedicated to make sure they achieve them in every aspect of their young lives. They love to read and often discuss individual writer’s crafts. However, it is their craft that lacks elaboration. Their written work is creative and entertaining at times. But, unfortunately their writing is below grade level.
I believe that I most constantly look for exciting and inventive ways to help my students obtain the goals I set for them and the goals they set for themselves.
I would like to establish a writing center in the classroom, so that students can have a place to keep their most precious work. A book binding machine would be terrific. When students’ work is bond together they can feel like true authors. It also serves as a great reward for their hard work. Lastly, flash drives can provide students the flexibility to save it and continue their work at a later time.
Please help me plant the seed of writing in my fascinating students. You never know! You might SPARK an interest for the love of writing in the next New York Times Best Seller.
