Did completing tons of math problems in school bore you? I currently teach 3rd grade to a diverse group of students.
My students show a definite interest in math, in fact most say it is their favorite subject. I hate to assign numerous math problems to show understanding so I would like to use the game Equate to reinforce materials taught.
Equate is like Scrabble but it deals with math. Kids can make equations in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. I know kids get really tired of the same thing day in and day out (don't we all?) and Equate requires students to use number sense in a fun and challenging way.
Imagine being able to play a game during math time that would have been as beneficial (but much more interesting) than completing a math worksheet. Please help me bring this wonderful learning game to my classroom.
