High Interest Reading Practice for Inner City Kids!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a 3rd grade teacher in inner city Richmond. Typically, schools of lower socio-economic status struggle academically. However, our school has made excellent gains!
I am requesting a VersaTiles Reading Comprehension and Vocabulary lab to provide purposeful practice and help improve test scores. Combining the challenge and enjoyment of a puzzle with the purposeful practice of a workbook, this lab offers activities in which students can practice skills independently and at their own pace.
These activities would be perfect for independant work while I am guided reading small groups! Often I, and other teachers, have difficulty working with small groups because the rest of the students are not fully engaged in their activities and interrupt the group being worked with. With these VersaTiles, they can be engaged, work independently, and get immediate feedback in the areas of focus they need most help in!
Your donation will put these valuable tools into my kids hands to continue to improve their learning!
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
