The materials that I have chosen for this project will provide support and engagement to the different aspects of the Anime Club. What is Anime Club without any Anime? I have chosen the starting volume of a popular Anime called Bleach to use in our Anime "Watch it together" days.
In Anime Club, we will do much more than just watching Anime. We will also be creating our own Manga books using the blank template books, which will provide students structure in developing their own stories. In doing this, students will be practicing their writing skills in creating a story that is original and unique.
Lastly, to support students reading, I have selected the start of two popular Manga series that students can use to read during our Book Club days in case students do not have a manga book that they can bring in. The Manga will also serve as a classroom library where students can check out the books and continue their reading at home.
This is just the start of an awesome adventure in Anime club, and I look forward to building this club into a landmark at our teaching site. It will be a beacon of hope for students where they can share their love for Anime culture in a caring environment with others who have the same flame without worrying about criticism.
