Last year, my classroom suffered a leak in the ceiling. Every time it would leak, our carpets would get wet; eventually, I had to dispose of them because they became moldy and smelly--even after shampooing! I hate that we had leaks because it eliminated areas in my room that were established for my class to congregate for whole group lessons. I have been relegated to doing whole group lessons at their desks because I wouldn't DARE sit my kids on the hard, cold floor--not a great idea! I am asking for a brand new carpet to place in the corner of my classroom so that I can resume whole group on a cozy, soft space. I would appreciate any assistance.
