I teach a special education class with students who have a wide range of abilities, strengths, and needs. Many of my students are non-verbal and experience sensory challenges, so our classroom focuses on creating a safe, supportive environment where every student can communicate, regulate, and learn in their own way. We celebrate progress of all kinds and honor each student’s unique voice.
I also lead our school’s Leadership Academy through the House System, where students work together on puzzles and challenges that promote teamwork, problem-solving, and encouragement. This program helps students build confidence, empathy, and leadership skills while strengthening our school community. Together, these experiences empower students to support one another and grow into compassionate leaders.
