Lipan Independent School District

Lipan ISD was established in 1871 and has maintained an accredited status from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) since its inception. The district received an “A” rating from TEA this past school year, which demonstrates our commitment to excellence and high expectations for students and staff alike. Our students have been very successful in passing state exams, but we define success as more than just passing a test. Our focus is on developing the whole child to produce successful and productive citizens. We continuously strive to create multiple avenues for children to be successful and we enjoy celebrating each and every student success. Lipan ISD is a great school district located in a small but supportive community where parents, community members, and stakeholders are a welcome part of our school community. The mission of Lipan ISD is to provide exceptional and relevant opportunities to empower students with acquired skills, knowledge, and personal attributes to lead productive lives and become contributing members of the global community in the 21st Century. We accomplish this by empowering all learners to become LEADERS with PURPOSE, PRIDE, & PERSEVERANCE. Our motto “Strong Tribe, Strong Tradition” demonstrates our willingness to work together as a team in partnership with students, parents and all stakeholders for the continued success of all students. Lipan ISD offers all of the Texas high school graduation plans as well as offering dual credit courses to all students, which allows students the opportunity to complete an Associate’s Degree if they choose. We have created partnerships with Weatherford College, Ranger College, and Tarleton State University as well as local businesses and ranches. Our graduates are college and or career ready upon their graduation as many have taken many different paths including military, medical, law enforcement, educators, engineers, builders, lawyers, and ranchers.

Lipan ISD has outstanding staff members who strive to build relationships with children and their families to produce a well-rounded experience for students.  We encourage our students to be involved in as many activities as possible, in order to create a positive, whole school experience.  Our teachers and staff are always looking for ways to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all their students. They strive to integrate technology into the classroom and are open to finding new ways to help our students create their own learning. Our teachers currently use google classroom as well as other tools to keep our students engaged and involved in their learning. Our students are taught to problem solve to find solutions to the problems they face in the classroom and in life.
