The Lansingburgh Central School District is committed to ensuring all students graduate prepared for college, career and citizenship. Our hope is that our partnership with DonorsChoose will serve as a mechanism for fostering additional support for high quality instruction that provides exposure and experiences for our students that are relevant and engaging.

About Lansingburgh Central School District

The personalized nature of our small urban school district offers benefits similar to those seen in larger school districts, including a wide variety of facilities, services, and programs, and a supportive environment. However, Lansingburgh also offers a sense of belonging that is often missed in larger school districts.

With approximately 400 professional and support staff, the entire Lansingburgh Central School District community proudly shares in and contributes to student achievement, from the classroom teacher to the office staff member. The school district is committed to teaching a curriculum that ensures all students meet the state learning standards.

The district is currently engaged in a curriculum mapping initiative across all grade levels. Along with a full range of academic programs and services, each school offers a wide array of arts, athletics, and extracurricular activities that challenge students to reach their maximum potential.

In addition to the regular school year, a six-week secondary program providing skill reinforcement in core areas of English Language Arts, mathematics, science, and social studies are offered.

As a trauma-sensitive school environment, the district believes student mental health goes hand-in-hand with education and partners with Rensselaer County to offer on-site mental health clinics.
