It's odd to think about people not owning a color printer, but it's pretty common to not have one in today's classrooms. However, you have made it possible. Being able to print books and learning materials in color is amazing! My students feel 'important' when they receive printed learning materials. It also allows us the opportunity to print research slides that are created in class. The students are so proud to show off their creations to their families and friends. The looks on their faces is priceless.”

My students in my classroom and myself are beyond honored to have this project funded. Being in the middle of a time as difficult as this one; I am trying to provide my students with any and all materials that I can without increase exposure or sickness. These its allow me to work on every child literacy and help them grow academically whiteout having to share materials. These items may not seem like much, however, they have given my students the opportunity create love for reading; but more importantly, stay safe. Each student now has their own set of materials that we utilize daily in my classroom. From the bottom of my heart, I want to say thank you for believing in them and giving them a chance to be everything they can be. Creating a safe place for my littles to learn to read has been an amazing experience thanks to you! Thank you so much!!”

These snacks and treats will serve as incentives for their successful work, as well as their dedication and determination, both in and out of the classroom. Offering students treats and rewards, no matter how big or small, will give them that extra push or motivation they need to go just one step further than they may have otherwise. By giving students a little extra something to work for, I have often seen greater success and effort.
These snacks will help me to accomplish that very important goal of seeing my students succeed.”
Thank you for taking the time to assist me in educating our future leaders. I sincerely appreciate the time you took to review my recommended strategies for assisting scholars.
I experienced a vast improvement in academic performance thanks to your generous donations. Scholars began to work diligently in class, completing assignments at school and home. Homework participation and student testing percentages increased. Third grade was the only grade level to demonstrate growth during State testing at the end of the 2020-2021 school year.
Again, thank you so much for your help. I greatly appreciate your assistance! I look forward to completing another project on Donors Choose.”
Thank you so much for your donations! It is beyond wonderful of you to aid my artists and myself.
Unfortunately, Covid is still running rampant and our area has been hit very hard. Despite the alarming numbers, our district has continued in person learning. Because of you, myself, my artists, and parents can rest a little easier knowing that this room is a little safer. The shields have been on desks since we started this school year. They will be used every day, all day, until we can eliminate Covid. And by having these shields on the tables, students seem to understand the importance of keeping their masks on more, which is especially important for these young learners.
Thank you again for helping us! We are VERY grateful!”

Playdough is a big part of my prek/k classroom. Using play dough has many impacts and hits so many state standards all in one! Specifically, the students are able to grab a tray in the classroom and explore using the various play dough tools. This strengthens their fine moter skills which prepares them for holding a pencil and writing. It also creates conversation between the students which increases their speech!
When my students first saw the materials, they were smiling from one side of their mouth to the other! Also, the students who were not using the materials at the moment couldn't focus on their work from the excitement of the students with the new materials! It was funny because it was like the students were born to use the tools outright; I didn't even have to go over any rules. They immediately began to roll, cut, slice their playdough! The most magical thing to see is the room began to get quiet as the students get in their zone and go all in with focus on their work!
Once I allow the students to free explore with the play dough and tools, we will began to utilize them for more specific academic lessons. For example, instead of just rolling and cutting, the students will have to roll and cut to create a specific letter, number, or shape! I will also utilize the playdough for color mixing during whole group lessons. The last thing the students will utilize the play dough and tools for is to create simple objects and scenes to learn about the different shapes and lines that come together to make objects such as the sun ( a circle and short straight lines). This will help transfer over to help their journal writing come to life!”
I must start by saying how incredibly thankful my students and I were for your generous donations! Learning to read in first grade is one of the many goals that strive to achieve before heading to second grade. My students have really worked hard this year even though it has not been a "normal" school year for them.
We started the year learning sight words and blending our letters and sounds to decode words. The books that we received are books that my little learners can enjoy because we have spent so much time on learning how to read, they feel like they can read anything. Some of the books were for reading together in class, and some of the books, they could read alone without any help.
I added some character building books to the library because they need the positivity of seeing children their age in books doing different things. My students have really enjoyed the new additions to the classroom library, and I am sure students next year and in the future will enjoy them just as much. Thank you!”
Thank you for funding our project my scholars are really enjoying those hand 2 mind manipulatives. So many times scholars are unable to move to concrete learning because they need to focus on developing their conceptual understanding by using the manipulatives. These manipulatives have assisted my scholars in achieving their goals of mastering of addition and subtraction within 40. They also are enjoying working with the ten frames to model the problems assist them with finding their answers.
So again I say thank you for helping scholars to become successful with their mathematics.”

Wow!! Thank you so much for donating to my students. These supplies have added many more opportunities to our classroom. We now have more intervention opportunities, hands-on supplies and over all, fun learning activities! These resources are allowing my in person scholars to participate. These supplies have also impacted our virtual scholars. Our virtual scholars are able to have white boards, markers, cubes etc. to make them feel like they are actually in class. A specific moment has been actually using these manipulatives to enhance our learning. These resources have already created more digital assignments! My students were very surprised and thankful for the supplies. Thankful would be an understatement. These supplies will take us well into the school year.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart along with my scholars. My scholars used their reading materials for intervention and as well during Reading Across America. My scholars are enjoying their new books. I have my Math Intervention group and they love working their math workbooks. My scholars and I would like to thank you for contributing to our classroom with our books. During the Spring Break , I will be sending home the reading books for the scholars to build up their reading fluency and building their vocabulary. I want my scholars to be so successful with improving their reading so once they get to the second grade they going to be ready then before.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Dudley
