I teach the BEST kiddos in the WORLD at Veterans Memorial Middle School! In my classroom we bring social studies to LIFE in a variety of ways: rap, dance, simulations, living history, analysis of primary and secondary sources and interactive notebooks that serve as a personalized portfolio in which their learning progress is documented throughout the year. Many of my students come from military families so while I have them, I want my classroom environment and teaching strategies to have a lasting impact on their lives. I want to touch their hearts as well as shape their minds. I strive for my classroom to be their home away from home and our classroom community to become an extension of their families. I believe my students are the best and they deserve the best. PLEASE help me provide my 8th graders with the resources, technology and classroom furniture they need to thrive and be successful!
