I put together this page to centralize opportunities for people to donate money towards students who need books. This is somewhat focused on issues near and dear to my heart including LGBT issues, racial diversity, and Sci-Fi/Fantasy books. I put together this page to centralize opportunities for people to donate money towards students who need books. This is somewhat focused on issues near and dear to my heart including LGBT issues, racial diversity, and Sci-Fi/Fantasy books. I am selecting projects where the teacher seems to have specific books selected, as opposed to more general "we want books!" projects. I adore Donor's Choose because it makes it easy for teachers to request money, and for people to give money. If each person donates the cost of a single book, these projects will be funded in no time. If you can't afford to give, I suggest publicizing this project and/or this site. hide
