This coming up school year we are both teaching a class Called "Education For Careers," as well as courses on World Geography, Human Anatomy, and Health Sciences.

As a cash-strapped urban school district, little money is given to teachers for basic supplies. In fact, budget cuts have not only slashed staff, but also supplies. Things like pens, pencils, paper, construction paper, scissors, etc, are not allocated in the budget. When students don't have supplies that just places one more obstacle in front of their learning. Students can feel disheartened and unmotivated.

It is in this area that we are asking for your help. These basic supplies are vital to keep pace with suburban and private schools that take these things for granted. Our students deserve every opportunity we can provide and, with your help, you will be providing that opportunity.

Thank You,

Kyle Kleckner
Teacher
Curriculum Chair ~ First Responders
Academy of Health Sciences
Walter L.
