Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

A classroom printer will make sure that students in my classroom as well as their parents get access to color printed reference sheets, exemplars, math manipulatives, and so much more!

Students come to my classroom with negative preconceived feelings about their math capabilities.

I want to make sure that students come into my classroom and get clear and in color math visuals! Just because it is middle school does not mean that math cannot be vivid and in color. I teach students of all math abilities and a color printer will allow me to print copies that will support them in their learning. Students will be able to take control of their learning and print items that they need a physical copy of. It would also be great to be able to print color copies of student goals and assessment data to share with parents at conferences. Students in my classroom own their learning and at conferences will share their goals and math achievements.

This year, to better support our new to country students, I have a math class that I teach in Spanish. I find that I am creating many of the Spanish resources for my students and they would benefit from color prints.
