My Project

I am hoping to get a new carpet to put in the front of my classroom that will be used for morning meeting, read alouds, and other times during the day! This is my first year of teaching, and I was very lucky to be given an old rug from a family member over the summer to use this year, but I am hoping to get this new, more kindergarten friendly rug with spots that will last for many more years. This rug is also larger and will give them a little more room to move around without getting in each other's space!

When they are on the carpet, my students are so much more engaged in what we are learning, and we have our best class moments all sitting together on the carpet rather than at desks.

I'm planning to make even more of an effort to spend more time on the carpet instead of seats next year, especially with a new rug!

My kids are so sweet and will be so excited when they first see it, and I know all of my future students will too! Thank you in advance for helping me make our learning space more comfortable and fun!
