This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work with students with Special Needs in the Bronx. The students vary in age from kindergarten to fifth grade. Their classifications include Autism, Down syndrome, Batten's Disease, Angelman syndrome, ADHD, and Speech Delays (Grades K-5) which impacts their learning style and ability.

I would like to provide my students with Handwriting, Reading, and Fine-Motor activities to enhance their learning experience including Dry Erase Markers, Coogam Wooden Reading Blocks Short Vowel Rods Spelling Games, Learning Resources Uppercase and Lowercase Lacing Letters, and the Toddler Montessori Toys Magnetic Bird Feeding Preschool Fine Motor Skills Toys Woodpecker Toy for Kids.

These items would help develop their visual motor, visual perceptual, pre-handwriting, and handwriting skills. These tools would motivate the children to learn and play and will enable them to excel and learn a lot this summer and upcoming year The students would be so excited to receive these learning materials, and would benefit so much from them!
