Summer is the Perfect Time for SEL Through Teamwork and Art

Help me give my students a giant ball, spot markers, a teamwork tarp, clay, glue, pipe cleaners, quill paper, canvas panels, and beads to help them explore social-emotional skills through art and teamwork activities this summer.

My Project

This project is to support our social-emotional skill summer program. This is a program to help meet the needs of many students over the summer to continue to work on social skills and team work. This program also allows students that will be new to the middle or high school next year come during the summer to decrease anxiety and make friends before the school year starts. We will be using these materials such as the spot markers and art canvases to help them with communication skills, teamwork skills, and also to boost their self confidence and emotion regulations skills which are so key for students to succeed in both school and life. We are also requesting art materials like clay, glue, pipe cleaners, quill paper, canvas panels, and beads to also help them explore social-emotional skills through art this summer.
