Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am so excited for this teaching opportunity. I will be teaching for a STEM school. These students are very intelligent and most of these students want to go into the medical field. Our school has so many teachers that are willing to go above and beyond to help their students. Our campus has almost a 100% acceptance into college rate.
Our school is a lower income school and is considered a Title I school.
These students need basic supplies and other materials to help them in the classroom. They work with what they have, but I would love to have some basic supplies and other supplies in the classroom that they will be able to use.
My Project
As a teacher, I often see students who get bored in class. I always love to have new gadgets for my students to use to help them stay motivated. There was a day that I saw another teacher using this writing tablet and it looked so awesome. Students will be able to use this writing tablet while they are doing their online classwork, they can show their work and automatically erase it when needed. I love the idea of not wasting paper. I also have white boards in my classroom, but we often run out of markers and they can get messy. With these tablets, we wouldn't have to worry about as many supplies and we would only have to change the battery every 8 years.
My students deserve to have some fun gadgets to use in class.
I hope that we can get this project funded so that we can have a classroom set of writing tablets, if you are reading this and have never seen them, go look them up! My students would love to use these in class. Please help me fund this project for my class.
