Help me give my students the gift of exercise with abmats, resistance bands, sliding discs, and kettlebells!

My Students

I am the only PE teacher in a Title I, K-6 public school. Most of my students would benefit from activities and resources that support them academically, emotionally, and socially. My students are not often exposed to opportunities for sports, physical activity, or health improvement. They look forward to creative, competitive, and fun ways to get moving. I love introducing them to fitness and health concepts they might find later in life outside the PE area, such as Crossfit, Yoga, strength training, group aerobics, and distance running. I have even created a fitness club open to 3rd-6th grade students, their parents, and the school's staff. This is a safe and fun place to help them get extra activity.

My Project

Help students improve their FitnessGram Assessment scores through the purchase of this equipment. Give them the opportunity to grow in strength, flexibility, & cardiovascular endurance. The Yes4All Exercise Mats provide a safe way to use good posture while performing a proper sit-up. Kettlebells can be used in a variety of exercises to help strengthen muscle and build flexibility. Resistance Bands and sliding discs offer a safe way to strengthen the total body without intimidation from a weight load. Allow me to show my students a new way to stay fit & active so they can enjoy physical activity & plan for future health goals. I'm looking to transform my Get Fit Club into a health club fitness model so students can set goals, grow in knowledge for physical activity, & transition into what it takes to keep moving into adulthood. The club also gives parents the ability to share in their student's fitness success. The requested equipment would help show students and parents they need minimal equipment to stay active and healthy.
